Summer Plans 2010

Wow, it’s been a while since I took sometime to just chill outside. It seems like all day long I’m stuck inside working or doing something on the computer. Well, now that it’s summer time I plan on spending more time in the sun.

My plans for this summer are :
1. Get a tan. – I need one bad, I’m tired of looking like a vampire.
2. Swim! – I plan on spending as much time as I can pool side or just out in the good ol’ sun.
3. Catch up with friends. – This probably should be first on my list since I haven’t seen most of them in over a year.

How about yourself? Do you have any plans/ goals for the summer?

As a graphic designer most of my design work is either for marketing or advertising campaigns, very professional and extremely clean work. It’s very rare I get to do something that really allows me to test my skills or try new techniques, so I decided that this year I want to challenge myself and increase my design capabilities. My outlook is, “you only get better with experience.”

So, here is my first attempt at manipulating with robotics. I know its mediocre at best but I plan to further my experience creating robots and cyborgs and know I’ll get better. Critic and tips are always welcome. Enjoy!

My Time In The Wilderness

After two years of reflection and contemplation I have decided my time of solitude is coming to an end. I am greatful for the time I have had to ponder on life and time but feel that it would only be selfish of me to continue on my current path. I am extremely thankful for all the love, support and understanding I have received from my friends and family during this time.

The mind is a beautiful, creative, innovative machine that should not be wasted. I look forward to what lies ahead in life, although it is a foggy picture I can see the final result. You only go as far in life as you want to go…don’t hold yourself back.

Many of my future post will consists of my reflections, struggles and breakthroughs over the past two years. My only hope is that my revelations and experience will help someone who may be going through a similar stage in their life.

Mad Scientist At Work!

Do you ever get that feeling that you’re on the verge of something great but it just needs some fine tuning? Almost like a scientist in a lab with your theories and notes but for some reason things just aren’t clicking. Lately, this is the way I have been filling with my personal design work. I have all these visions and ideas but when it’s time to bring them to life, they just lay there lifeless on a table. I need some inspiration!

Rainy Day

From time to time I may post some of my artwork on my blog. I do keep a small (very small)collection of random works on my deviantART page. It’s very rare I get sometime to just “have fun” with photoshop but when I do, I remember why I love it so much! Below is a photo-manipulation I did a few months back.

Hello World!

I think its becoming a tradition of mine to start a blog when it snows in Houston. My last attempt at chronicling my thoughts, reflections, rambling, rants or whatever else you like to call them was last year in the ’08, during what seems to becoming a common “snow day” in Houston. I have always liked the idea of blogging minus the part of being stuck behind a computer screen. I really wish they would invent a simple device so I could actually write my posts (you know like pen and paper…remember that?) and then just upload the files to my pc. It may be old school but I prefer writing to typing. Btw, I’m not an English or grammar major, just throwing that out there. Take it easy, Laters.
